Merge Letter - 3D Run is a free game of action and strategy. The game is set in a world of cartoon letter-people, with one side at war with the other. With good timing and quick wits, you can lead your letters to victory.
The game has similar mechanics to Merge Alphabet 2D Fusion Fight. This is because you must use letters as troops in a strategic battle. However, it also includes an action-oriented obstacle course that is closer in spirit to Gauntlet of IRE.
Start each level with action
The gameplay in Merge Letter - 3D Run has two components. Each level opens with an action sequence in which you control a letter character that must avoid obstacles, collect keys and unite with other letters. After this comes the strategic part of the game. Any letters that you collected in the action round will remain.
Conclude each level with a strategy
The strategic part of each level takes place on a grid. Along the top are enemy letters. In addition to the letters that you have bought, your job is to position the letters that you have collected and then click "fight." The fight will commence automatically, and if you put your troops in the right places, you'll win.
Two types of troop
Letters come in two main varieties. Melee letters will run into battle and fight the opponents directly; Rangers stand back and shoot projectiles. Winning battles will get you money for more troops. You can also earn money through the Wheel of Fortune, which can be used only once every ten minutes.
From easy to difficult
The two halves of Merge Letter - 3D Run are not evenly matched in terms of difficulty. The obstacle course is very easy, but the strategy relies on you earning enough coins to buy decent fighters.
